1. My reason for doing the contest.
I could say that GQ wanted to do a lay-out of me, but I had to turn them down. However that would be fudging. A few years ago when Lori worked for NIKE I was able to run 2 miles in under 20 minutes. I also went religiously to Weight Watchers where I received my 25 pounds lost keychain as well as a refrigerator magnet. Will we be having these in this program??? I also found Blue Bunny Bars that were part of the plan. I know I need to lose the weight and with all of your encouragements I know I will be successful.
2. I hope to lose at least the 25 pounds I lost in 2001. I have too many clothes I need to fit in again.
3. My 12 week fitness goal is to walk or run in a 10 k race sometime in March. I will use the WAC's exercise facilities, especially the elliptical. I will also utilize a personal trainer for showing me how to get better flexibility and strength. I might also throw in a massage and pedicure for the metropolitan man that I am. My week's goal is to not have a drop of alcohol but instead more water. Just during Week 1!!! Not having blogged before this will make me a better communicator with the youth that I teach. I have written too much for a man. I need to finish drinking one of my last glasses of red wine.
