1. The main reason for joining this outstanding group is to avoid walking around Bell Square sporting an oxygen tank. As many of you know I have been blessed with some health issues that make a healthy life style essential. I always find some excuse (sorry Timbo) to make those chocolate chip cookies with a cup of butter(sorry John). It is over! No more excuses, like Bill, Jen, and Lori I too was successful with WW but unfortunately have regained 16 of the 20 lbs that I lost. I am very tired of making promises to myself and then not honoring them. Life is much too short and I want to live it with zest and vitality.
2. I liked Lori's "I will" statements I know that must be a Nike or some goal setting guru's advice to declare goals as I will statements so here I go. I will lose 12 lbs, I certainly hope to lose more but given my recent back surgery I am just not sure how much I will be able to push myself physically. By the way anyone that hires a personal trainer will be penalized 20 points! The most important goal that I have is identical to Jen's I want to eat better and have my healthy food choices be a way of life something I enjoy. I want to be fit and healthy for the rest of my life.
3. My long-term fitness goal is very difficult for me since I am not 100% after the B surgery. I am committed to working out 30 minutes a day but as far as a long term goal I hope you all will let me weigh in on that after the first month. I want to put down something that is a challenge for me but right now I have no idea what that will be. I will also commit to resistence training 3 times a week especially focusing on my core. Lastly, I will keep my sense of humor and provide all of you with words of encouragement. I can't think of a finer group of people to suffer along side.
Just call me KathyG
