What worries you masters you.

I am completely and utterly sick of ruminating and worrying about my weight.

1- Why are you doing this?
To feel better about myself. I am not going to allow my weight to be the central issue of my life anymore. I will no longer do the things that fill me with shame and regret. I will be fit and healthy! That said, it would be super cool if a new trend of older supermodels became vogue because of me. However, that is unlikely.
Also, I like being part of a team. I feel accountable to my teammates and I like to think I might have some small part to play in someone else's success. It takes my mind off my own struggles. Plus - you guys make me laugh!

2-What do you want to achieve in the next 12 weeks?
I would like to develop a healthy style of eating that I can comfortably maintain long-term. I would also like to get to the point that exercise becomes an enjoyable part of my life, most days. Specifically, I would like to lose 20 pounds & lower my blood pressure.

3- What is your long-term fitness goal and how do you plan to accomplish it?
My fitness goal is to run 5 miles in an hour. I have a lo-ong way to go! I know that with consistent hard work I can achieve it. To that end I am committed to running 3 times a week and working with my personal trainer 2 times a week (No deduction of points dear sis! As soon as you're healthy - you're going to join me for a couple of sessions.)

Wow - this is going to take a lot of change! I am excited! Nervous but excited. I am going to go clean out my fridge and evacuate all the goodies from my cabinets. Good luck everyone!

BTW - you can load pictures onto the blog. Just thought you'd like to know. : )

Bill - I've got a 10 week - 10k training plan. It was written for runners but it doesn't matter if you run it or walk it, its based on distance. Let me know if you want me to email to you.
Sis - I've got 3# and 5# hand weights and an upper body DVD. Let me know if you want them. It might help you build a little muscle while your back continues to mend.
Lori- Apparently you walk at the same pace that I run. So sad. We should meet at Greenlake sometime.
Ben - our last Seahawk and beer day tomorrow!

Good luck everyone!
C-
