My Final (for now) Blog

12 weeks have gone by and Bill and I have a lot (less) to show for it. I just came back from a 2 1/2 mile run/walk with Reggie, where I averaged 13.12 minutes/mile. That's after exercising this morning for 45 minutes. Thank you Jenny; 12 weeks ago, I might have walked Reggie, but it wouldn't have been at that speed, and I doubt I would have been at the gym first thing the same morning.

12 weeks ago, I was wearing a few sizes bigger in clothes and was 13 1/2 lbs heavier. 12 weeks ago, I would have sat down and (I hate to admit this but it's true), would have thought nothing of consuming a lot of cheese and olives with red wine before dinner. The food is ok in moderation, but Bill and I were enjoying an appetizer before dinner darn near every night. 12 weeks ago, I wouldn't have found such healthy and really good meals to make.

All in all, this has been a great, motivating and fun experience. The first three weeks were pretty much hell, but after that, I found a rhythm and it's not been too hard to focus and commit to this plan.

Good luck to all losers going forward. Here's to touching base along the way.
