Lori's New Goal

I will not do something lame like have a goal for walking/running a certain distance without a time limit. And yes, I did nag my husband to put a time limit to it. He has assured me he will walk briskly. Actually it is six miles, and if I make him go early in the morning, the bars won't be open yet.....

My original goal was to walk/run a 12 minute mile for 4 miles. I think that now I may have bit off more than I can chew. The time is not nearly as important as the consistent effort, so my new goal is to run/walk 3 miles in 40 minutes by March 31. That's just a bit over a 13 minute mile, and while more doable, still a big stretch for me. How will I do this? I will resume (hopefully starting this weekend) my 5-6 days/week workouts on the treadmill and my 3 days/week powerwalks with Reggie. In addition, I will resume my crunches (I was up to 46 before I stopped last week) and will add a 10 minute daily pilates activity to ensure that I'm building my core. Feel free to join me on March 31 at Greenlake!
