Staying Focused

Dear Col,

Thanks for the meth tip. Since my legal meds aren't working 100%, maybe I'll switch to something a bit stronger.

At this point, unless Bill falls into a vat of Krispy Kreme donut batter, I figure there is no way that I can beat him now. However, as mentioned in a previous blog, I do legally get half. So, yes, if Bill wins, at least 50% of his winnings (please note that the 50% will be his. I have my eye on some clothing for our upcoming Cabo trip...) will go towards the good cause of a Biggest Loser celebration.

Since I've been so sporadic in my focus on exercise, getting in at least 3 but no more than 5 days for the last 5 weeks, my goal this week is to complete high-intensity exercise six out of seven days, whether I feel like it or not.

This weekend, I finally opened the pilates DVD, and Bill lost a few more calories smirking while I attempted to balance, stretch and build my "core". We're talking 10 minutes people - and I could not go the duration of every exercise. I may be more in shape with all my cardio work, but clearly the "shape" aint what it should be in order to complete 10 minutes of core. I yearn for the days when the word core meant the center of the earth or the part of the apple that one throws away. I'm going on record as saying that I will commit to building my core (vs throwing it away) at least four days this week.

Have a great week, Losers!

- L
