
Hey Fellow Losers,
I must say that this whole program has been great for me. After a fairly strong start I have tapered off on the weight loss...however, the exercise and healthier eating has continued. Without the contest, I am not sure I would have taken the initiative to live better. In fact, I know I would not have taken the initiative. So thanks Jen, Colleen and everyone who let the outsiders in.
As for my 12-week goal....I feel good about it. Doing the Big Climb for Leukemia(69 flights of stairs in the Columbia Tower) is something I am sure I could complete today...but I would probably keel over in the process. I want to accomplish the task(with my beautiful wife Loree) and feel somewhat fit and athletic in the process.
To train for the goal, I have been doing stairs and treadmill at the gym and going on lots of brisk, “hilly” walks.
I never thought I would “look forward to” rice cakes, bananas, apples or green beans...but now I do...and that’s good, right?
