The snow is finally beginning to melt in my neighborhood. Can you believe this winter we are having, I was starting to think that Issaquah was the new Denver. I hope some warmer weather will help change my eating habits as its hard not to eat when your stuck inside all day.
Who ever suggested sparkpeople.com - THANKS! I never really ever tracked my calorie intake and wow what an eye opener. That site has saved me from making some really big slip-ups. According to them I need to eat to loose - who knew? I have always been a meal skipper thinking I was doing myself a big favor well it turns out that only makes me more hungry and more inclined to over eat. Those of you who haven't checked it out should do so. It's kind of a pain to set up your daily nutrition but its well worth it.
I have finally, after 10 days, been able to run one mile. I also figured out my shin splints (too much weight yet to run long distance) problem and have been running only short distances. As long as I don't injure myself, I should be able to achieve my fitness goal by March. The only bummer with having running as my fitness goal is that I don't burn as many calories on the treadmill as I do on the elliptical.
