Sorry it has taken me so long to finally figure out how to work this blog log-in. I am not normally technically challenged so I’m thinking it's probably the reduced caloric intake? Anyway thanks for letting me "crash" the competition however it sucked to read the results from last week and not be a little discouraged because I am in last place.
My fitness goal is to be able to jog 5 miles without stopping. I got so excited about getting started yesterday I tried to see how far I could jog. Not only was I distraught by the fact that I could not even run one mile, I woke up this morning with the beginnings of "shin splints". So now I will have to take it a bit slower and not let my enthusiasm spin out of control.
This blog couldn't have come at a better time for me as I try to loose some extra pounds; eat healthier, quit caffeine and look for a job. It will be therapeutic having a place to vent frustration when the scale doesn't move in the right direction or guilt after consuming a hot fudge sundae. Speaking of frustration, Jen don't be let the scale get you down I know cause I am like you. We can take some small comfort in the fact that we are building muscle and muscle weighs more than fat. Thanks for the tip though about taking measurements and staying off the scale, that will help boost my morale.
