Pinching an inch (less)

So...the saga of my scale woes continues. I appear to have gained back the 1.8lbs I lost last week despite continued efforts on the eating and at the gym (my official weigh-in day is tomorrow, but I'm not holding out much hope).

SO--I decided to take a new set of measurements. I am so glad I measured myself when I started this program and was delighted this morning to find out that although I've only lost three pounds, I have taken over 1.5 inches off of my waist! I now fall solidly into Dr. Oz's guidelines for women (women should have waist measurements of less than 32 inches, men less than 35), when before I was teetering on the edge of too much tummy chunk.

It's a good reminder to look for other ways of gauging success--the scale can only tell us so much!
